One of my favorite books that I have mentioned before is the Success Principles by Jack Canfield that talks about feeling the fear and doing it anyway in order to be successful.   A lot of times, we wait and wait for the perfect opportunity to network with the right person or take a huge leap for our career.   The truth is we have to make opportunities happen and that may entail stepping out of our comfort zone and running the risk of rejection or failure, however, the reward of success is definitely worth the risk.  When doing this, we need to have faith in ourselves and believe that we are fully capable of achieving what we set out to do.

Here is an example:

• My friend Sally is incredibly talented at teaching yoga - she grew up with it, has been practicing for years and also took a training class to teach yoga.  When she was going out to apply for yoga teaching positions, she kept hearing that she didn't have enough experience to teach.   She knew that even without all of the years of teaching that she would be an outstanding yoga teacher.  One day in a yoga class that she was attending, the yoga teacher didn't appear and so Sally saw this as her golden opportunity and stood up in the middle of the class and said if you are all open to it - I am a yoga teacher and can teach this class - everyone was open to it.  Her class was a huge success and she was hired by the facility as a yoga teacher.
Where can you be more bold and take some more risks and accelerate your path to finding your dream job.
