“Marcy Morrison served as a career consultant during budget cuts and layoffs for UC San Diego employees. Marcy's positive energy and creative solutions energized me during my search for my next step, as she helped me to balance strong career opportunities with my passion to serve. Using her book, other resources, and Web reference materials, she helped guide my decision process and positioned me for an excellent future. I highly recommend Marcy to anyone looking to discover their passion or who is considering new career options.”

“Marcy was engaged by the University of California, San Diego, to assist a number of us with career transition after budget cuts resulted in layoffs. She is an absolute delight to work with, and brought so much positive energy to what otherwise could have been a grim situation. I especially liked her creative way of viewing my situation and possibilities. Marcy always created a judgement-free environment during our sessions, and she was always sensitive to my need to balance the "practical with the serendipitous" as we discussed goals, plans and even dreams for my transition. She has given me valuable tools as I move forward, not just in the job search, but in life as well.”

“In January 2009, I attended the Jobing.com Career Expo job fair where Marcy Morrison, author of Finding Your Passion – The Easy Guide to Your Dream Career was speaking about finding passion in your career. At first, I thought to myself, “Who has time to find a job you are passionate about when bills are piling up?” As I sat and listened, I realized that I never put my own desires first and let fear and doubt be the decision maker. It became very apparent to me that after the honeymoon phase of a new job was over, I would become bored, burned out, or both. On my drive home, I decided to try something different and make my job search specific to jobs that I really wanted to do and truly utilize my education. When I began to do some serious soul searching, I noticed that every job I had applied to in the past was either a survival job or out of a sense of obligation, a job that my family said I should take. After five months of being unemployed, I started to grow weary and doubt my abilities, but the "Five Steps to Living Your Passion in Your Career" really helped me to stay focused and enjoy the ride. For the first time in my life, I leaned on my faith, believed in myself, learned to network effectively, and more importantly surrounded myself with a fabulous support team to help rebuild my self-confidence as they encouraged me along the way! Despite a looming recession, 110+ jobs applied for and three job interviews later – my new career finally came through! Sometimes you have to dig deep down and find that tenacious spirit that is in each of us. Thank you Marcy for helping me to uncover my passion despite the odds! I'm really excited about my new job and my future!! Gail Hill, Field Marketing Coordinator, Shakey’s USA, Inc.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Marcy on several occasions and in different capacities. It was during an informational meeting that I first met Marcy. Instantly I was drawn in by her enthusiasm, positive outlook, and passion for her work. After that meeting I knew she would be someone with whom I would want to continue working. Not only did I recommend her for consultant career work with Right Management, I also invited her to be a guest speaker at a class I taught at USD. Marcy spoke with to the Supervision, Training and Consulting class graduate students in the career counseling program about her business, her book, and how she works with her clients. She openly shared examples of how to get started as a consultant as well as how to write proposals, how to find career opportunities, but most of all about how to “Follow Your Passion.” It isn't a surprise that she has now authored a book by the same name. I now look to Marcy as a partner as I pursue a path that I've been working toward for many years. Marcy has inspired me, has held me accountable, and is open to help me in any way possible. Anyone working with Marcy would feel the same empowerment. She is a joy!”

“I recently have had the wonderful opportunity of being provided the tools and direction via the incredible coaching, mentoring, and book, "Finding Your Passion, The Easy Guide to Your Dream Career" and utilized these essential items while meeting with very prominent and successful individuals. I believe to make the most of any meeting, properly structured and essential questions must be asked. Marcy Morrison's professional insights and absolutely recommended book provided hours of invaluable experiences, insight, and understanding including how to network, build and maintain solid relationships, and finding consulting opportunities just to name a few. The incredible consultation I had the pleasure of having with Marcy Morrison prior to these meetings I believe was what gave me the confidence to make my dreams begin to become a reality as what she stands is essential to all!”

“Marcy recently helped me with my job transition and I feel lucky to have had her guidance. Her technical tips were very helpful (I even received compliments on my cover letter from folks I was interviewing with) and her interview tips helped me to have confidence in talking about my past accomplishments without feeling like I was bragging. Additionally, she helped me re-discover the thing that I am most passionate about and that’s helping people through philanthropic support. I would highly recommend Marcy's amazing skills to anyone!”

“I was blessed to find out about Marcy. After 12 years of trying to find my passion, Marcy created a concise plan, with people to talk and interview, material to read, places to go, and a vision for the future in my career and personal life. All of it based on who she saw in me as a person and my calling, and asked me to follow my heart and dreams, and not what society pushes me to do. I am very greatful she is in my life and I will continue to look for her support and guidance.”

“Marcy is one of the most incredible people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, let alone work with. Everything she does is infused with incredible positive energy and passion which she passes on to everyone around her. She has helped keep me motivated along all of the unexpected twists and turns until I finally found my dream job. Everything she says is 100% accurate, and the job I finally found is even more perfect than I had even dared to imagine. Marcy is a rare gem, with an uncanny ability for connecting with people. She always knew exactly what to say or do in any given moment. She made the normally overwhelming and daunting process of finding a job completely manageable and more enjoyable. Everyone needs someone to believe in your dreams but Marcy takes it three steps further by helping you not only achieve your dreams, but surpass them.”

“Marcy exceeded my expectations, helping me to land a perfect job two weeks before my deadline. She is a stellar career coach who helped me devise a new and attainable career strategy and act on it. What made her so effective was her style of motivating, positive encouragement and gentle corrective feedback. When I wasn't sure what to say or do while networking and applying for positions, she listened closely and gave me specific templates of what to say that I could mold to my own style and personality. We worked as a team- for example, I would develop an agenda for each meeting and she would take invaluable notes on her computer to e-mail to me afterwards. Thank you, Marcy!!! :)”

I first heard Marcy Morrison speak at a job fair here in San Diego. I already knew my ultimate goal was to find my dream job but at that moment I just needed any job. I was immediately inspired hearing her presentation and I remember looking up her website when I got home to find out more about Careers With Wings. Since I was experiencing a bit of a "financial pinch" at the time I decided to take on the job and dream job search task on myself. Need less to say, months later I found myself back at Marcy's website because I realized I needed more support for this task than anticipated. I was thrilled to see she was having a book signing and wasn't going to pass up this opportunity to seek her advice! When you meet Marcy you can instantaneously recognize her dedication, passion and enthusiasm to assist you to uncover and discover options to lead you to your dream job. When you met Marcy it's like talking to an old friend but she also possesses the diplomacy of a true professional. After completing Marcy's book (Careers With Wings - Finding Your Dream Job) I realized I had clarity on what my dream life/job consisted of but I had no idea how to get past my fears and move forward or in which direction towards creating the my ultimate goals and dream life. I refer to finding your dream job also as my dream life because when I imagine being able to do something that is my true passion and creating absolute abundance in the process sounds like the life of my dreams to me! I'm just beginning my journey however I believe with my persistence, determination and ambition together with Marcy's support, expertise and skills together I will find my wings and my dream job and life.

"I found Marcy through jobing.com. Her article captured my attention and I quickly came to see that she had more to offer than occasion articles on a website. Five minutes into hyperlinking I learned that she is a career strategist, a mother, and a philanthropist. I contacted her and was happy to see a rapid response. She has consistently provided contacts, further ideas, and encouragement with each communication. I soon ordered her workbook, which helped me identify what I want, recognize the network I have already established, and go after my goals. We then met to discuss what I had learned and my career options. It was clear in that brief conversation that she is passionate about her work. Marcy sincerely wants the people she works with to thrive. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she has come to know a wide range of people in all different fields making her a great networking source. She was able to guide me to someone that works in the field I am looking to get into. And I am eager and hopeful to get more involved and secure my dream job."

“The moment I met Marcy I immediately noticed how passionate and devoted she was to her career and business, Careers with Wings. It was this admiration that caused me to want to work with her to help me reach this very same level of satisfaction in my life and career. Before meeting Marcy I knew in general what my career goals were, but I wasn’t sure how to put it all together to create what is perfect for me. Marcy has been invaluable throughout the process of helping me follow through with each and every step, teaching me about my strengths and weaknesses and how to get exactly what I am looking for in my career. She is a huge inspiration, very knowledgeable and is so much fun to work with!”

"It's so wonderful that you created this niche for yourself. I can't tell you how many times growing up that adults in my life told me that wanting to be passionate about my career wasn't realistic, and that it's a given that most people hate their jobs, but that's just the way it is--passion doesn't pay. As if you should just accept being miserable for 40+ hours a week. I know that you're doing great things for people!!! There is unfortunately such a work/Life dichotomy. Many people consider all that time they're spending at work as time spent "not living" because they're trapped in jobs that don't make them happy. You're really helping to bridge the gap between the two. Very cool!"
